Spot the Insect

Insects have colors that naturally blend into the environment as a defense and survival mechanism. In today's calendar-inspired rendition of chinese brush painting, there are two but of the same kind. They may not change as much as a chameleon, but the purpose is served.

Ooo wow!!!! I really really love the flowers in this one--and the praying mantises look really lifelike! I like how the upside-down one looks playful... Heehee. Getting better and better everyday, Mom! And Dad--as always, thank you for posting Mom's paintings and writing a little something to go with them. :)
